Changes in the employment law in the Netherlands

As mentioned in previous communications, substantial changes have been made since 2015 to the Dutch Employment law. There is now a new employment act, the Work and Social Security Act / WWZ, click here to see the changes brought about by the WWZ (report from 2015). But aside from the changes due to the WWZ, there have been others, as well. In this report, we have tried to summarise all of the most recent changes to Dutch employment legislation – albeit without attempting to be entirely complete.

Topics treated:

  • Working Beyond State Pension Act (i.e., working beyond one’s pensionable age)
  • Flexible Work Act
  • Bogus Schemes Act
  • Sobering-down of unemployment rights
