Working across the border

Many measures are being taken by the Belgian, German and Dutch government in order to prevent infection. This makes it hard for people who have to cross the borders between these countries, or who live in one country while working in another. The Bureau’s voor Belgische & Duitse Zaken and the Sociale Verzekeringsbank have collected relevant information about this topic on the website below:

Vignet for employees with “vital professions” who cross borders

Since March 22, frontier workers in vital professions can use a “vignet” making it easier and quicker for them to cross the border between the Netherlands and Belgium.

More information is available on:

German frontier workers also need a certificat, handed out by the employer, in order to prove that they are crossing the German border for a justified reason.
